Um hi can you say MAJOR?! Who else says major but stylist Rachel Zoe. Her fantastic client Anne Hathway stole the show at last nights Oscar’s via her arsenal of awesome gowns. You know your totally awesome when the designer of the dress you choose to walk the red carpet in, shows up with “needle in thread in my pocket in case anything happens” -said Valentino. OMG, so major.

Anne Hathway is simply ravishing in her red carpet look for the 2011 Oscars in which she co-hosted!

A beautiful bustle

Starting the night with a vanilla colored bang, was Anne Hathaway’s first look, which was far from vanilla. She started the show in a Givenchy Haute Couture gown, with a bodice that was the equivalent to encrusted armor. She and co-host James Franco opened the show with a playful skit inspired by Inception.

A little cross dressing never hurt anybody. This was a playful stint for hosts Hathaway and Franco and not only was it humorous, Anne’s menswear inspired Lanvin look was adorable! The tailoring on the pants was exquisite and obviously her gorgeous shoes that they were paired with have me drooling. Oh, and so does James Franco’s Marilyn Monroe inspired look ;) (courtesy of Daily Mail UK)

I was so happy to see the hostess with mostess, really wearing the mostess! Vivienne Westwood is a tricky designer to pull off at times, but this custom corseted gown was flawless. To accessorize this look Rachel Zoe pulled amethyst jewels from the Tiffany Archives to play up the glam factor and those grey tones. STUNNING.

Now OBVIOUSLY it is a toss up, because each look was more grand than the next, however personal taste wise, I am a gypsy girl who likes some retro flair and this is the dress for me! The Oscar in my book goes to Oscar. Oscar de la Renta shut it down in this beaded ensemble. Her voluminous but understated hair and Jimmy Choo heels are the perfect compliments. Atelier Versace grazed Ms. Hathaway’s silhouette like only a real gown could. The fit on the upper portion of this garment was phenomenal. All the details throughout the bodice were exceptional. Another fine choice by RZ. (courtesy of Daily Mail UK)

This simple silhouette and vibrant shade are the PERFECT combination. Styled with Tanzanite earrings and a black onyx bracelet, this Georgio Armani Privé gown can do no wrong. (courtesy of Daily Mail UK)
